How Can Back Pain Radiate To My Limbs?

feature photo

Thanks for the question.  There are potentially a number of reasons you may be feeling pain radiating into your limbs from Back pain, really.

Some of the most common radiating pain derived from back pain are:

1. Nerve irritation.  Nerve Irritation can radiate pain to your limbs.  Nerves can be pinched in your back or in the buttock region by other soft tissue structures (e.g. muscle)

2. Joints.  The joints of your low back can refer pain to your buttock region

3. Trigger points.  Trigger points are common with back pain and can be thought of as small “knots” in your muscle.  Trigger points can radiate pain down into your lower limbs.
