I injured my disc between the T8 and T9 vertabrae, what can be done?
Question:
I slipped and fell on ice. I injured my disc between my t8 and t9 vertebra and have been in terrible pain ever since. Can you please help me get my life back? It’s been over one year since the accident.
Answer:
Yes, indeed we should be able to help you and how we do this will depend a little on the underlying issue. When you come in to see one of our physiotherapists, they will first assess your injury and decide what is causing your pain.
Once that is decided, they can formulate a treatment plan specific to you and your injury. This is likely to include pain control modalities (e.g. electrical modalities, acupuncture etc.), manual therapy to revive any lost joint movement, and, of course, an exercise program to follow up with your treatment plan.
At this point, I would certainly suggest that you book with an appointment with a physiotherapist for us to assess your injuries. From there we can move forward with you as indicated.
